Tom Luerken

Co-Owner of Stay Well Health & Acupuncturist

Tom is a California native who holds a MSc. in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture from Bastyr University, Washington State, USA and has over 10 years of experience in treating a wide variety of physical and mental conditions.  He also has a specialist 2 year diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine which allows him to provide patients with specialized, complimentary herbal teas which can work alone or alongside prescription medication.

Before forming Stay Well Health, Tom spent 8 years treating the rural community of Ellensburg, Washington State, USA. Here, he had the opportunity to build a rounded and far reaching practice whilst taking continuing education in Cranial Sacral Techniques, Pulse Synergy and Kinesiology Taping.  Tom also has experience in working at 4 hospitals in Shanghai, China through the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, an Integrative Health Centre in Seattle and at The Madison HIV/ AIDS clinic in Harbour View Hospital, Seattle USA.

Having recently moved to the UK with his family, Tom is excited to share his knowledge and experience with you and to help you on your health journey. His calm and relaxed style guarantees that you will feel at ease throughout your treatment.

Sarah Luerken

Co-owner & Yoga Instructor

A Derby native, recently moved back from over 8 years in the United States, Sarah brings yoga to Stay Well Health. Her main focus is on classic hot yoga  using 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises although she enjoys ashtanga and yin yoga. Deciding to move her family back to the UK in October 2017, Sarah has taught most recently in Weston on Trent Village hall, teaching beginners yoga and teaching the 26+2 sequence. She looks forward to bringing you this sequence in a heated room to promote a deeper healing class.

Having practiced yoga for over 10 year she became serious about it 5 years ago and completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training through Hot Spot Yoga, Washington State with Stephanie Howard and her guru Carlo Giorno. Carlo lived and worked with Bikram Choudhury for 7 years in the early days of Bikram Hot Yoga in Los Angeles.

Ever the student, yoga has helped Sarah to reclaim her mind and body after having children building core strength, focus and patience. She is proud of the beautiful and calming space that Stay Well Health offers for your yoga practice.

Laura has practiced yoga since 2015 when she started using it as means to stretch after a hard workout class or run. She became passionate about it in February of 2017 when she decided to stop being fearful of what others would think and started her own instagram to document her journey. She has worked hard to build strength and flexibility. She wanted to share this wonderful practice with others so took her 200hr yoga teacher training with Sun Power Yoga.

Forever the student, Laura strives to increase her own knowledge within the yoga world. Her practice is based around a vinyasa flow of sequences to build strength, stamina and increase flexibility.

Kirsty

Kirsty is a Yoga Alliance registered Yin and Hatha Yoga Teacher. She certified in Hatha Yoga (200 hours) in 2013 with Bahia Yoga.
Kirsty’s passion lies in practicing and teaching Yin Yoga especially the Chinese Medicine and Mindfulness aspects of the practice. She has been practicing Yin for 11 years after discovering this style at the Yoga show in 2009. She has completed 270 hours with Sarah Lo and 20 hours with Paul Grilley.
Kirsty is also senior assistant to Sarah Lo assisting her on her Yin Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation Teacher training courses and is endorsed by Sarah to mentor her level 1 students. She has also attended various workshops taught by Sarah Powers, Jo Phee and Tom Myers.
When Kirsty is not teaching, she enjoys going out into the countryside on long dog walks and spending as much times as she can in France

Franca

Franca is an experienced Clinical Hypnotherapist whose aim is to support your journey forwards.  Along with extensive training in Counselling and Psychotherapy, Franca is a keen Astrologer, a Meditation Teacher and a Certified Hypnosis for Childbirth Practitioner.  She combines her skills, knowledge and experience to bring energy, wisdom and healing to both personal therapy sessions and group teaching sessions.
